Ear wax treatment for patients Registered at Fallodon Way

If you are troubled by persistent ear wax you might wish to consider self treatment or private treatment in a neighbouring practice.

Information about self treatment and a private microsuction service is provided below.

As a General Medical Practice providing services under contract with the NHS, Fallodon Way medical Centre is not funded or contracted to provide ear syringing or ear microsuction services.

We can only refer you to the Ear Nose and Throat Department at St Michaels Hospital for an out patient assessment and request  treatment if you meet specific criteria.

We are  explicitly restricted in our NHS contract from providing private ear microsuction services to our registered patients although we can provide this service to patients not registered with Fallodon Way.

We offer a limited number of wax clearance appointments for patients with severe visual impairment or patients living alone with a significant disability only. There is a waiting list for this service.

We are familiar with the following private services including the credentials and training of the clinicians and can recommend the following services:

1. Westbury on Trym Primary Care Centre Tel: 0117 962 3406 this service is available to patients aged 16 years or more.

2. Greenway Community Practice

Costs are 1 ear £40 or 2 ears £60
